Subscription cap details

Each connection may hold up to 200 subscription slots. A slot is consumed by:
  • each distinct market you hold any of orderbook / trades / ticker / limit_orders on (all of those on one market share a single slot),
  • each distinct market you hold a kline subscription on,
  • each distinct market you hold a mid_kline subscription on,
  • each distinct wallet you hold user_orders / user_fills on.
Global channels mini_tickers, market_updates) are effectively free, they share a single internal slot between them no matter how many you hold, so they never meaningfully eat into your 200 (worst case, holding any global channel costs one slot total). When a new market/wallet would exceed the cap, the offending subscribe is rejected with SUBSCRIPTION_LIMIT and nothing new is added; existing subscriptions are unaffected. Unsubscribe from something to free a slot. With a 200-slot budget and per-market channels sharing one slot per market, a single connection can follow up to ~200 markets’ full order-flow at once. If you need more, open a second connection (subject to the per-IP cap of 50).
